Greetings! Welcome to my blog where we’ll chat about girly things, math teacher-y things, my Invisalign experience, and anything else I decide to include because it’s my blog and I do what I want.
Whoa, sorry. I don’t mean to be aggressive. But then again, it’s my blog and you chose to be here. haha jk but srsly tho
The name’s Holliday
Chatt Harrigan. I’ve only been married for a 1.5 years to my handsome husband Tom, but oh what an adventure it has been. Here we are, in all our newlywed bliss. It was a beautiful day and all the stress was worth it. But you can bet your bottom dollar I’m never doing it again. Not only because I plan on being with Tom until one of us kicks the bucket, but also because it’s so stressful! If you want more pictures and/or stories, you can check out our wedding blog – it’s chock-full of them.
Okay, back to me. I was born and raised in Batavia, New York; you’ve probably never heard of it. When asked where it is I tell people, “Up near Rochester and Buffalo…practically Canada.” I still get made fun of for my accent sometimes by everyone here in New York City, a place you’ve probably heard of. The way we Western New Yorkers say “Rochester” with a real harsh RAH is a pure giveaway.
I went to SUNY Geneseo where I got my BA in Math and obtained my NYS Initial Certification for Math grades 7-12. After about two years of subbing (per diem and long-term), I came down to NYC to attend Teachers College, Columbia University. I graduated with my MA in Mathematics Education from TC, CU.
All that work has paid off (well, except I’m still nose-deep in student loans) because not only did I meet Tom and other lifelong friends at Geneseo, I currently teach math at a high school in Brooklyn. Tom and I currently live in Manhattan, paying crazy high rent, living in a crazy small space, but we absolutely love it…for the time being.
On a serious note, I still can’t believe my fortune in life and am so happy where I have ended up; I definitely need to thank God a lot more than I do.
That’s about it for me. I really enjoy reading, doing crosswords/sudokus, eating food, and watching stuff on YouTube and Netflix. I’m in search of some new hobbies, so let me know if you have any good suggestions.
You can find me elsewhere if you want; no pressure.

- Instagram: @hollidayharrigan
- Facebook: I have one of these but it’s more for people I know and have (usually) seen IRL.
- Snapchat: I don’t understand the reason behind it yet, so I do not snap anything, chats or otherwise, with people.
- Tumblr: I’ve heard this is cool but (again) I don’t quite get why I should have one. Wanna try and convince me?
- YouTube: Seasonal Chats – I still want to expand my channel and create more content, but I’m having a hard time committing.
- LinkedIn: Holliday Harrigan – Does anyone even use this anymore?
Be sure to check out some posts, like and subscribe if they make you happy or teach you something new. You can always leave comments about anything (keeping it PG, of course) and ask questions if you want. I think that’s enough rambling, don’t you?
